Anfield witnessed another dramatic afternoon as Liverpool fought back from a two-goal deficit to secure a 2–2 draw against Nottingham Forest, remaining undefeated in their opening Premier League fixtures.
Disaster Strikes Early
Liverpool started on the front foot, controlling possession and pushing Forest deep into their own half. However, it was the visitors who struck first against the run of play. In the 23rd minute, Dan Ndoye finished off a rapid counter-attack to put Forest ahead.
The Reds thought they had leveled the score ten minutes later, but a lengthier VAR check ruled the effort out for offside in the buildup. Things went from bad to worse shortly after the restart when Forest won a penalty, which Morgan Gibbs-White converted in the 69th minute to leave Anfield stunned.
Refusing to let the match slip away, the reds pushed high up the pitch and turned up the intensity:

* 81' — Equalizer: Second-half substitute Víctor Muñoz capitalized on a loose ball in the area to slot home his first goal for the club and bring Anfield to its feet.
Despite six minutes of stoppage time and heavy pressure on the Forest penalty box, the visitors held firm to share the points.
